Here are just a few of the many ways parents can get involved with R-MC:

  • Our tradition in the liberal arts and sciences prepares students for real-life success. Several top-notch programs offer students the opportunity to see first-hand the intersections of classroom learning and applications in the broader world. They include InternshipsStudy Abroad and Undergraduate Research
  • Encourage your student to talk to his/her advisor and staff at the Career Center early and often about career aspirations and participate in programs such as The Edge and Bassett Internship program.
  • Talk to your student about classes and study habits.
  • Some students struggle from time to time during their college experience. Randolph-Macon has a number of resources to help students through these periods. Be sure you know what these are so you can advise your student how to take advantage of these resources.
  • Come to R-MC to enjoy the tremendous variety of campus events and activities, or meet your Yellow Jacket on the road. There are many programs to attend, including theatrical productions, lectures, concerts and athletics events. Check our  section for the latest news and updates on happenings at R-MC.
  • Show your support through a gift to the Randolph-Macon Annual Fund. 98% of students depend on financial assistance to attend R-MC. Please know that a gift of any size means a great deal and can have a positive impact. Also, please check with your employer, as many companies offer matching gift programs. Your gift is very important and much appreciated!
