Students who are accepted to the college and who qualify to apply will automatically receive an invitation to apply to our program via e-mail, approximately two weeks after they receive their acceptance to the College. The Classroom and Beyond Randolph-Macon Honors students are given exclusive access to exciting, interdisciplinary courses taught by Honors faculty Honors courses are capped at 15, providing a unique small-group seminar environment of like-minded students R-MC Honors students have unique opportunities to work one-on-one with faculty on research projects as part of their Honors curriculum Honors projects give students freedom and flexibility in exploring their academic and professional interests Honors students who complete our program have Honors listed on both their transcript and diploma. Housing and Facilities Select first year students live in Andrews Hall, the Honors dormitory. The Honors Office is located in the lobby of Andrews Hall, giving our freshmen access to the Honors Director and Associate Director every day. The lobby and common spaces of Andrews Hall serve as the hub of Honors activities on campus. The Honors Living-Learning Commons is located on the west wing of Andrews Hall, first floor. This all-honors freshman wing receives special honors-related programming and is located in close proximity to the Honors Office. Programmatic ck棋牌 Honors students have access to the Honors FOCUS series, a year-long theme explored through a common read, guest speakers, and special seminars. All Honors freshmen are placed into an Honors-only section of YJSS and are advised by an Honors Academic Advisor. The Honors Program offers grant funding to assist students in traveling to conferences to present the results of their on-campus research projects. Honors students have exclusive access to Honors Courses, which are capped at 15 students and offer an in-depth examination into an interesting and engaging topic, taught by an expert in the field. All 100-200 level Honors courses satisfy a Randolph-Macon general education requirement, in addition to satisfying an Honors requirement.
